Krea (Knowledge-based Recycling of Electrical and Electronic Apparatuses)

The new KREA project, in collaboration with University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Materials Engineering and Environment Department, has been presented to a special commission in order to evaluate the chance to activate a spin-off aimed at factory creation.
University research, which is developing new techniques for re-use of materials coming from electrical and electronical equipments, is at the root of the KREA project. Thanks to the cooperation with companies like Relight, the project aims to transfer this technological know-how from a scientific to an industrial level.

Regione Lombardia: WEEE recovery and treatment project
Relight takes part into the WEEE recovery and treatment project carried on by General Direction Public Utility Services and General Direction Crafts, New Economy, Research and Innovation Technology of Regione Lombardia.
The project, that will also cover an experimentation period on the territory, aims to point out and define the best ways for collecting and treating WEEE, in order to reach the WEEE Directive targets for collection and recovery. The Directive will become Italian low within August 2004.
The experimentation will start in January 2005 and will cover Milan area and hinterland, together with Cremona area.
New AMSA plant

Relight takes part in the realization of the new AMSA plant for glass recycling in Muggiano. Lamps that are collected and stocked in Relight's plant in Rho, will be treated and recycled by Relight itself in a dedicated area of the new AMSA plant.
