Prize innovation friend of the environment 2002
The partnership Philips Lighting -Relight, for the development of a collection and treatment system for fluorescent tubes, won the National Prize Innovation Friend of the Environment.
Religh was the only Italian company who received a prize in the waste management section.
The prize Innovation Friend of the Environment is an award for companies innovations, given to the companies that showed to produce significative environment improvement acting on processes, products, services, technologies and management systems.
It is given to realizations that can already show their first results, that are original, and moreover for their possible future development.

This prize is the only chance in which an environmental association and prestigious university join their efforts to sustain technology, products, services and consuming modernization.
The system realized by relight and Philips, was awarded as a process innovation and consists in various steps: collecting, treatment and reintroducing to the productive process for the production of new lamps. The percentage of recycling is equal to 97%.
