CATHODE RAY TUBE TREATMENT
Monitors and TVs treatment, with the removing of polluting elements from the cathode ray tube, represents the key point of Relight's activity.
The cathode ray tube represents the hazardous fraction of monitors and Tvs, both for the phosphorescent powders presence and for the glass composition. This glass, with its unique chemical composition, however needs to be recovered and recycled.
Relight's technology, that is based on a sophisticated machinery equipped with diamond cutting disks, provides the automatic separation of panel glass and funnel glass. Hazardous phosphorescent powders can then be removed by suction and sent to an inhertization process, while the glass fraction can be recovered.
After the manual remotion of the anti-implosion device, all subsequent operations are authomized inside a strong and silenced structure, that also permits the cutting of cathode rays tube different in size.
Cathode Ray Tube:
Recycling >> Metals, Panel glass, Funnel glass
Landfill >> Phosphorescent powders
Fluorescent tubes treatment
Lamps, that are collected through Relight network and stored in Relight plant in Rho, can be treated for recycling by Relight itself, as it is established by the .
The Treatment process relies on a modern technology that provides the components sorting and complete recovery.
A distillation process, in fact, permits the recovery also of the fluorescent powders mercury.
